i want to see more.

I totally adore the fashion scene of the 90s because beauty wasn’t just bones and the girls carried curves that could make male eunuchs whole again. Right, it may appear that I’m exaggerating, but take a look at Stephanie Seymour and I’m sure you’ll know why she has been touted as the Angel of Victoria’s Secrets.
There won’t be any biographical treatment of this amazing woman tonight, apart from the fact that she was in a relationship with Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose in the early 90s. According to Seymour in an Allure feature, the archetype of the “supermodel” represented a movement away from the “doll-like” objects that the average runway model was associated with. You didn’t have to tag a fashion label to these women, because their names and faces were brands in their own right. The cultural implications to this phenomenon were huge, with names such as Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Stephanie Seymour becoming a post-feminist declaration of identity in an industry where consumer products were designed and dominated by men.
Even at 41, Stephanie’s beauty and body of work remains timeless…

And before I hit the sack, here’s a tongue-in-cheek to all my friends in the office, on how SPRING should be personified…

After writing this, I just realised that the theme of the entry is “black or nothing”, just goes to show that my Mondays are never colourful
