there’s a way to be good again.

I can’t actually remember the last time I stopped to catch my breath from all the readings and essays, but I am blessed to be able to do it this week. Although I still occasionally suffer from inexplicable nightmares of mutilated cyborgs chanting words I can barely recall, a certain someone living oceans away managed to put a smile back into my heart. And that was the ONLY thing that could beat Connie Talbot’s “boh-geh” wide grin.

Caught up with Debbie, Daryl and their two feline companions at the city a few hours ago. I totally adore the fat ginger with its white whiskers and broad Cheshire-looking face. She’s real seductive, especially when she’s rubbing her body against your legs. Talk about heavy petting man hahaha. Last but not least, I had a taste of their massive home theatre system with this compelling cinematic piece based on Khalid Hosseini’s best-selling novel.

I must say that Marc Foster’s work just keeps getting better. Finding Neverland was (and still is) one of my personal favourites and I might just be inclined to add this title to my list. Biased? Well, I mean if you don’t feel anything from watching shows that depict human frailty in the face of overwhelming hardship, then I would like to think that you’re worse off than the Taliban.

Which reminds me, little children (I’m not referring to physical age, but rather those prim, proper and virginal adults) should never know what those unshaven Buddha-blasting dopes do during their free time. It’s like the ultimate abomination to a distorted and radicalised faith.

Nonetheless, The Kite Runner was still worth every minute of my time. It shows our selfishness in all its glorious shame, yet never failing to unveil that glimmer of redemptive hope within us all. In the words of a character from the film, there is always ‘a chance to be good again’, no matter how far we have gone astray.

I do hope we seize it, before it’s all too late.
